Storm StMaur has always loved fantasy. She began writing at the height of her working career which left her little time and the industry was less than inspiring. After relocating to Sweden to join her ‘soulbound’ viking in his magical homeland, she began to take her writing seriously. The cold dark winters and not having work, allowed Storm the opportunity to delve into her passion. When not exploring her new town, Storm enjoys forest walks, medieval festivals, testing out new recipes on her viking, and practicing her Swedish on unwilling victims.

To keep Storm company whilst she writes, are her two rescue cats: Lady Scraggy McWhiskers - Norwegian Forest mix who completely rules the roost, and the tombyish Gimpy who may be tiny but she is certainly mighty .

Storm was born in South Africa. (JRR Tolkien’s birth country).

Storm loves raisin bread. Toasted with butter.

Storm’s favorite flower is a tulip.

Storm’s favorite sports team is none other than the Springboks.

Storm loves thrifting! In Sweden, thrifting is almost a national sport! Favorite items to thift: puzzles, antiques and silverware.

A percentage of profits from the sale of her books is graciously donated towards NGOs dedicated to protecting animals. Her current pledge is with : SPCA

Storm has a degree in environmental law, and worked in information technology for more than 20 years.

During summer, Storm loves to walk through the forests soaking in the soothing sounds, picking berries and mushrooms, and finding inspiration in the smallest of things.

During winter, it is time to hunker down. This means sauna, drink glogg, books and puzzles, experiment with recipes and make snow angels, of course.

Storm also paints large canvasses in acrylics, oils and mixed media. She also illustrates digitally.
